Use this path when setting up the first support agent for a website.

Setup flow

  1. Create an agent with the website URL and business goal.
  2. Let siteaiagent read public website pages for the first knowledge source.
  3. Add more links or uploaded documents from Sources.
  4. Configure answer rules, tone, lead collection, and handoff.
  5. Copy the embed script to a test page.
  6. Verify desktop, mobile, lead capture, handoff, and common questions.
  7. Publish the widget on production pages.

Before publishing

  • The website URL points to the real public site.
  • Knowledge sources are indexed and current.
  • Answer rules match the brand voice and support boundaries.
  • The lead form is short enough for visitors to complete quickly.
  • Handoff webhooks are configured and tested.
  • The widget opens and closes correctly on desktop and mobile.
